JOB TITLE: Foreclosure Prevention Hotline Counselor

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interview clients to obtain information about the clients' housing needs and problems. Emphasis is placed on quickly assessing homeowner issues in order to provide basic foreclosure information and effective internal and external referrals. Gathers demographic information and enters data into required data systems.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required. Two years of college preferred. Experience in foreclosure prevention or related fields. Additional experience may be substituted for years of education. Basic computer skills and database entry skills required. Minnesota Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Association or Minnesota Home Ownership Certification in foreclosure prevention is required or must be obtained during the first year of employment.
